Nature Reimagined: Pondering Eden

In this series of manipulated original photographs I create photographs that are reminiscent of drawings and/or paintings. I draw inspiration from my lifelong preoccupation with collecting and displaying natural found ephemera, while highlighting my desire to hold onto nature’s evanescent treasures. These photographs pay homage to nature’s fleeting metamorphosis, in both color and black and white. And as I reassemble my own original photographs, some spliced together, others cropped, they become like fragments ‘gathered.’ Thus, each newly created hyper-esthetic configuration becomes much like a shadow box of my very own cherished jewels.
