In much of my photo work, I specifically focus on a sense of passaging time. Behind my lens, the camera empowers me to chase time as I seek moments of deliberate chance.
Inspired by deep-rooted emotions that define my profound connection to the past, the rural surroundings where I grew up and now live guide me. Being in this transitional state between yesterday and today makes me feel both isolated and connected. These conflicting states of being deepen my outlook of aging, death and the emotions that go along with both. There is a heightened awareness as I confront the hurdles of life’s natural transformation.
To help me echo the ethereal, otherworldly mood I sense all around me, I focus on the treasured nostalgia I embrace.
